About

Nonna: Brooklyn born, child of Sicilian immigrants, first generation American. She started cooking at around 6 years old, and by 8 was cooking for her family of 4. After getting married, having a few beautiful girls of her own, her, and her husband decided to move to “Upstate” New York (Mahopac, Putnam County). She quickly found herself bored being so far from family, friends. She decided to start teaching cooking classes in the evenings at one of the local high schools. To her surprise, she became a hit!

Years past, and many classes later, she had her first son. Her love for food, family, and cooking inspired him to later become a cook himself. Not to exclude her daughters, who also become foodies, and quite the cooks themselves.

The recipes shared here are hers, her sons, and others which have been found, and tweaked to the liking.
